Is fear holding you back from living your fullest life and being truly self expressed? Put yourself in the shoes of the you who’s already lived your dream and write out the answers to the following:

Is the insecurity you’re defending worth the dream you’ll never realize? or the love you’ll never venture? or the joy you’ll never feel?

Will the blunder matter in 10 years? Or 10 weeks? Or 10 days? Or 10 minutes?

Can you be happy being anything less than who you really are?

Now Do. The Thing. You Fear.   (Author: Lachlan Cotter)

You really must let go and leave that place very soon.  I’m telling you for your own good.  The things that you are delaying by staying there for reasons that are really a false sense of security are stupid.  Let me tell you, the longer you stay there, the longer it will take you to realize the true meaning of teaching.  YOU will fall in love with it all over again.  You will learn what you have been called to do.  You know that place is not it.  It is a great learning experience and you should treat it as such and not the be-all and end-all.

That place is a joy stealer and you will see that too.  How do you expect to carry out the things you have lined up by staying at that life-sucking place.  The side effects from it are proving to be detrimental to your mental, physical, and spiritual life.  WAKE UP!!!!!!

So, let’s suppose you listen to me (the future you) and you decide to leave now.  You compose your resignation letter and hand deliver it.  But I know you, you’ll probably opt for a leave of absence.  Doesn’t matter.  Just do it!  In 10 years do you think it will matter whether you are there or not?  How about thinking of all the things you could have accomplished but didn’t due to fear of leaving?  How many years have you already wasted?  Too many to mention.  Lets not waste another day.

Let’s suppose you leave and find that it is a mistake (although I can’t even imagine that, but oh well) will it matter in 10 years?  I would hope not.  Bigger and better things lie ahead for you.  Will it matter in 10 weeks? It could, because there is that possibility of unemployment.  However, that is not a hopeless situation either.  You have untapped resources and I’m sure you will tap into them.   Will it matter in 10 days?  Not likely, because once you take that all important step, you will be in the honeymoon/jubilation stage and probably still a little shell-shocked too.  Will it matter in 10 minutes?  Not at all…

Can you be happy being anything less than who you really are?  I already know the answer to that and it is an absolute no.  You feel like a caged bird, but believe me, if you take this step or steps towards leaving that place you will discover a whole new world waiting for you outside that cage.  Spread your wings!
